Know your Skin Type

Our skin is one of nature's most wondorful feats of biological engineering. A natural human feature which we all have is vanity. It is inside us all. A persons skin is in fact the largest vital organ in our body. If your skin is contaminative and clogged with dirt and infection its issue can be greater than just a beauty problem. Bad skin can have a negative effect on ones sense of idealness and overall wellness. Most people do not really understand what type of skin. Most people fall below the category of five major skin types.

Normal Skin is not too oily or dry and imperfections are uncommon. Normal skin is firm, with a healthy look. It is generally smooth with small pores. Dry skin cracks easily, making you more likely to infection and premature wrinkling.

Oily skin is the malediction of a pimple-plagued teen, but this greasy, sometimes shiny skin type can become a blessing as you age because it keeps you younger-looking than your dry-skinned contemporaries. Oily skin is usually shiny and rough in texture and may have recrudescing blackheads and enlarged pores. It may also have revamps of flakiness around the nose where excess oils have dried due to its constant lubrication. Hyper activity, puberty and hormonal imbalance, excess heat, stress or antibiotics are all reasons for oily skin.

Combination skin has skin characterstics from both dry and oily skin. Combinationl skin type has medium pores, a smooth & even texture, good circulation, healthy color, may tend toward dryness on the cheeks while being oily in the t-zone. The sebaceous activity does not expand to the cheeks and this kind of oily skin can have areas of dehydrated patches on cheeks and forehead.

Sensitive skin
is a lank or a fine-textured skin. It is generally dry, delicate and prone to allergic reactions. Temperature variations, some detergents, cosmetics and alcohol (used on the skin) can all result in irritation, leaving the skin red and blotchy, with visible surface veins. Sensitive skin is prostrate to damage from environmental factors. Different signs and symptoms of sensitive skin such as diffuse redness, drying, recurrent irritation of the skin.

Overreaction to ostensive factors: shaving, stress and aesthetic procedures. Acne skin is normally oily and distinguished by blackheads and pimples. If avoided these blemishes can foster to a worsened stage and leave the skin scarred and pitted skin. Acne lesions normally occur on the face, neck, back, chest, and shoulders. There are two kinds of acne scars: pigmented scars, which leave behind a purplish-brown mark once the blemish goes away, and ice pick scars, which leave small holes in the skin. Second is picking at spots increases the likelihood of scarring as it can introduce bacteria, causing an infection.

Loose skin tissue and visible wrinkles differentiate this skin type which develops due to biological changes in our body and the ageing processes. Cells regenerate slower and skin loses its elasticity and securness. Mature skin needs embellished vital energy if lack of sleep, stress and advancing years have left their traces.
