makeup, whatever it is, begins with the right tools. Thats basically what differentiates you from a makeup artist in the first place. When applying foundation, depending on the type, i use a wedge sponge or foundation brush. The basic idea behind the foundation, as its name implies is to set a foundation, like your canvas for the rest of the face painting job you wann achieve. So once the foundation is not set right, the whole job doesnt make sense anymore.
It's goota be the shade of your own skin tone.
Your skin has to be in good condition, else foundation aint gonna sit right on you.
If you don't know what shade to use,try applying foundation on the side of your face, along your jaw line, here's exactly where your skin tone is true. If fondation blends in and doesnt come off your facial skin so obviously, then its right for you.
